Service Plan One – Single Item

If you have invested in a new heating, hot water or ventilation system and want to protect your investment, then we have a service plan just for you.

Our Single Item Service Plan will extend the life of your system, improve its performance, and reduce or avoid the need for costly repairs. It can also apply to any appliance you already have installed.

A Wright Maintenance Single Item Service Plan includes the inspection, testing and cleaning of a single appliance of any make or model. Our exceptionally affordable charge is only £180 plus VAT.

The plan can apply to any mechanical system including your gas boiler, hot water cylinder, heat interface unit (HIU), cooling interface unit (CIU), underfloor heating, mechanical ventilation heat recovery (MVHR) system, or mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) system.

One of our highly trained heating engineers will carry out all the servicing tasks to a check list tailored to your equipment.

Twin Plate Heat Interface Units

Often mistaken for boilers, these transfer the heat from the community heating network to home central heating systems and provide instantaneous hot water to taps.

  • Cleaning strainers
  • Recording flow and return temperatures
  • Recording energy meter from flow rates
  • Exercising all isolation points
  • Checking operation of safety valves
  • Inspecting operation of pump
  • Inspecting expansion vessel and recording pressure
  • Recording correct system pressure
  • Checking for safe electrical isolation
Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery (MVHR)

• Cleaning filters
• Cleaning fan motors and blades
• Checking condense pipe
• Visually inspecting heat exchangers
• Checking and recording the air volumes to Part F regulations
• Cleaning all air inlet and outlet vents
• Check safe electrical isolation.

Underfloor Heating

• Recording all flow rates
• Confirming actuator zone operation
• Confirming operation of programmers
• Confirming operation of thermostats
• Checking floor room thermal image
• Exercise all isolation points
• Checking safe electrical isolation

Cooling Interface Unit (CIU)

Checking coil for dust build up and cleaning
Checking operation of the condense line and pan
Checking and cleaning fan blades
Checking controller settings
Checking for excessive noise
Checking operation of unit when set point temperatures adjusted
Checking operation of unit when speed controller adjusted

Radiators

These transfer heat from the primary heat source such as the HIU and allow it to radiate around living areas.

  • Confirming all Temperature Regulating Valves (TRVs) are working,
  • Checking for any visible signs of leaks
  • Checking the radiators are hung correctly on the wall
  • Bleeding the radiators of any air
  • Confirming temperature regulation with TRV operation
