You’ve had a breakdown in your heating, water or ventilation system.

We’re here to help, wherever you live in London. But before you call us, just make a few checks. There may be a quick fix.

No hot water?

  • Check your heat interface unit (HIU) or gas boiler is switched on.
  • Check your hot water thermostat is set at 60°c.
  • As a temporary fix, switch on your immersion heater.
  • Check the switch on your programmer is set to constant.
  • Check all the trip switches on your power switchboard are in the On position.

Cold radiators?

  • Turn thermostatic valves on your radiators to setting 5.
  • Check the switch on your programmer is set to constant.
  • Check your thermostat is set higher than your room temperature.
  • Check that the pressure gauge on your system is between 0.75 and 1.5 bar.
  • Check if your neighbours have heating issues. It could be a communal issue

No Heating?

  • Check your heat interface unit (HIU) or gas boiler is switched on.
  • Check the switch on your programmer is set to constant.
  • Check your thermostat is set higher than your room temperature.
  • Check your radiators are on temperature setting 5.
  • Check if your neighbours have heating issues. It could be a communal issue

Comfort Cooling unit not working?

  • Check your thermostat is set below room temperature for cooling.
  • Check your thermostat is set above room temperature for heating.
  • Check the cooling interface unit (CIU) is switched on
  • Check all the trip switches on your power switchboard are in the On position.

Underfloor heating not working?

  • Check the thermostats in all your rooms are set to above room temperature.
  • Check the thermostats are at above individual room setpoints.
  • Your floor could take two to three hours to start to feel warm after switching on
  • Check any tiled floors first. These are quicker to warm up.

Shower running cold?

  • Check other taps to see if there’s a total loss of hot water.
  • Leave the shower running for five minutes. It may just need time to get hot.

Extractor fan sounds noisy?

  • Check the kitchen boost button is switched on.
  • Turn on the bathroom light and see if that increases the noise
  • Check the vents in all rooms are open but do not alter them.

Extractor fan isn’t working?

  • Check the unit is switched on.
  • Look for any fault lights showing on the unit display.
